From an angkringan (a traditional food stall) at an old hotel (Djagalan) in the city of Surabaya, we started this business, introducing unique beverages and special spices, as Surabaya is known for its culinary and religious tourism (Ampel), famous for its Arab village. The pandemic, which began in 2020, made us realize that a healthy drink without snacks feels like tea without sweetness. We experimented with gluten-free cookies, initially using mung beans, because mung beans are a filling snack during busy times.

Creating and innovating for healthy living choices, we finally launched D'RICK drinks and Exoteeq in 2023, accompanied by healthy cookies made from mocaf flour and palm sugar. In 2023, we also registered PT. Exoteeq Heritage Indonesia, a company in the food and beverage sector that prioritizes customer health. COVID-19 has taught us the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, which starts with healthy food and drinks.
